Sculpture 1 Complete!
Here's my last sculpture for the semester! It's a little less ambitious than my previous sculptures, and now that I look back I forgot to photograph one of them.

Young Contemporaries 2011
A couple of my paintings made it into Young Contemporaries at the Halsey Institute here at the College of Charleston, which is an honor. Sadly I didn't win anything :( . Even though I may disagree with both the curator and the awards judge on some of their choices, congrats to those of you who won.
Here are the two of my paintings that got in.

What Is That Thing: Part Deux

What is that?
Might be doing a little cover for a band located up in Virginia called White Laces.
It's a vinyl record so I'll have some room to play around. I've got a couple 3x4' canvases that I'm going to do some abstract works very similar to this little mock-up. It should function as a diptych... So when I'm done with the two paintings one will be the front and one will be the back. Yay.

King Cotton
Here's my next sculpture. He's kind of a contemplative and ape-ish king.
Cotton is made of plaster and painted with acrylics. He's got fine fabrics for his kingly attire and he doesn't take shit from no one.
This took too much time.
(Edit: Supposedly one of the professors wants to put this up in the sculpture gallery. Also neat.)
